As we enter into March, we are starting to prepare for our Spring weddings! We are scheduling final walkthrough meetings with couples, finalizing wedding day details, and most importantly deciding on an indoor or outdoor ceremony.
At The Monroe, we have both options available! We have a stunning outdoor ceremony site with a view of rolling hills and open land that make for the perfect outdoor ceremony. We also have a Chapel, a perfect backdrop for an indoor wedding. The chapel features a beautiful all black exterior brick building with neutrals all throughout the inside including our stunning lime wash walls and large arched windows.
Certain times in the year, we can typically predict when couples will choose to get married outside or inside. The couples getting married during the super cold months and the super hot months are almost always choosing to have an indoor ceremony. Our venue was created for either option to be perfect no matter which one you choose!
The Monroe’s outdoor ceremony space has a long stone aisle with fresh cut grass surrounding it. Behind the ceremony area, there’s a wide, open green field stretching into the distance, bordered by a line of trees along the horizon. Several tall trees with leafy branches frame the scene on both sides, letting soft daylight filter through. The photos are always amazing and the memories are even better! Getting married outside can bring on some added stress due to unpredictable weather. At The Monroe, we want the entire day and planning process to be a time you enjoy and not worry about. If weather becomes an issue and you plan on having an outdoor ceremony, your rain plan would be our indoor ceremony Chapel!
The Chapel at The Monroe is a bright and minimalist with vaulted ceiling, exposed wood beams that add a little bit of warmth to the room, and tiered chandeliers hanging from each beam. The walls are lime washed with windows every few feet. Three large, arched windows sit at the head of the room where the altar is located. The floors are a light wood color in a herringbone pattern. Black arched chairs match with the large arched windows that fill the room. A huge plus to The Chapel is that it is perfect year round. Rain or shine, hot or cold, your ceremony will be uninterrupted by unpredictable weather.
