Creating a memorable and elevated experience for your guests on wedding day is an important way to add a touch of warmth and excitement to your celebration. How often will you get to gather all of your loved ones in the same place at the same time? You want to ensure that, although it is your wedding day, that your friends and family are taken care of as well! Here are a few of our favorite ways to elevate your guest’s experience: 

1. Keep them Informed

Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to keeping your guests in the know about your wedding day logistics! Providing transportation? Make sure to give detailed information on drop off and pick up points. Having an outdoor ceremony? Let your guests know so they can plan to dress accordingly. Are you having a multi-location wedding? Be sure to tell your guests to account for drive times and local traffic! Having key pieces of information communicated clearly beforehand can have a huge positive impact on your wedding day and will really elevate your guest experience! 

2. Engage With Guests

Planning special ways to connect with your guests can provide a memorable experience for everyone involved! Receiving lines used the be the traditional way of connect with each and every guests personally, but here are a few alternatives:

• Doing a table toast – going table to table and toasting with each one. 
• Joining your cocktail hour so you can socialize with your guests
• Anniversary dances – celebrate the couple in attendance who has been married the longest. This is a great way to honor all the couples at your wedding

3. Create Comfortable Spaces

Taking your guests’ comfortability into consideration can have a huge impact on the overall guest experience at your wedding! Rent heaters to keep your guests warm if you’re planning for a winter wedding. Consider having lounge areas with soft seating so your guests can get comfortable and catch up! Ask your caterer to pass appetizers so guests don’t have to wait in line. Take your table size into consideration when making a seating chart so that your guests aren’t cramped at a table too small. These small things can make a huge difference!

4. Surprise with Unexpected Elements

Everyone loves a good surprise! Plan fun things to keep your guests engaged! These can be things like fun glow sticks for the dance floor, a late night snack to keep the party going, a dessert bar with lots of options, and even an outfit change for the bride and groom! 

5. Consider a Multi-Day Event

Weddings come and go in the blink of an eye! Having a multi-day event ensures you will be able to connect with all of your friends and family members! Some couples are having a post- wedding brunch the day after to ensure they get to say thanks and goodbye to their guests.
