Hiring the right vendors can make or break your day. To plan a stress free wedding, take the time to research who you want for each category and see who will be the best fit! Most venues, like The Monroe, have a preferred vendor list. This is a list of vendors that have worked at the venue before and who know the ropes. They are also vendors the venue likes to work with, meaning they are probably fantastic at what they do! This doesn’t always mean you have to book off this list. The Monroe has an open vendor policy. You can book whoever you want for your vendors as long as they follow our criteria.
The right vendor team will make your day the absolute best. Really take the time to figure out who you will be able to trust so you can be present and focus on what’s important!

Staying as organized as possible will help you have a stress free wedding day. You don’t have to be a type A bride to be organized. Everyone has their own way of organization. Use that when planning your wedding. Keep detailed notes of who you booked, what you booked from those vendors, and any and all info you will need to give your coordinator. Having a binder can help, or keeping everything in a google doc or excel sheet can help. Some couples will also make a separate wedding email so emails don’t get mixed in or lost with your personal or work email! Planning a wedding involves a ton of information! Try to keep it separate from everything else!
If you have a full scale wedding planner, they typically keep up with this information for you! A full scale wedding planner isn’t for everyone and that’s okay! You just need someone who isn’t a family member or friend to be the point of contact for your day and the person vendors can ask questions too that isn’t you. If you or a family member is the point of contact then you aren’t going to be able to enjoy the day as much as you would’ve hoped!

During wedding planning, it is easy to get consumed in all the small details of the day. It’s normal to want the day to go perfect after putting in so much time into making it exactly how you want it. We sometimes forget the most important detail of the day, which is marrying your best friend. A wedding is more than what color the napkins were or what the menus looked like. It’s about the promise you are making to one another in front of all your loved ones. Be present on wedding day. Don’t worry about how everything else is going because at the end of the day, you’re getting married and that’s what truly matters.
